Plaintiffs allege systematic overcharging of auto loan servicing fees in violation of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and the Consumer Financial Protection Act. The complaint alleges National Crest collected undisclosed processing fees totaling between $85 and $340 per borrower per year across a class period of 2021–2025. Class certified June 12, 2026. Estimated 140,000 affected borrowers. Trial date pending.

Weston et al. v. Clearpath Recovery Solutions
Federal suit alleging Clearpath violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by contacting consumers before 8:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m., failing to provide written debt validation notices within five days of initial contact, and falsely representing the amount owed on time-barred debts. Over 6,200 consumer complaints submitted to the CFPB referencing Clearpath since 2023. Trial set for September 15, 2026.

Consolidated class action following a November 2025 breach that exposed payment card data, email addresses, and partial Social Security numbers of approximately 4.1 million customers. Plaintiffs allege HomeMart failed to implement industry-standard encryption, ignored documented warnings from its own security team, and delayed notification by 73 days in violation of state data breach statutes in 17 jurisdictions. Settlement talks ongoing.

CPSC issued Recall No. 26-118 on April 3, 2026. At least 12 structure fires and 3 injuries reported. VeraCore has not yet filed responsive pleadings; default status hearing scheduled August 2026.
